there was no champagne

I’d like to talk about how we expect a website to change our business from night to day… and for a lot of us, that launch usually sounds like crickets.

We pour time, energy, and money into it. We go through an internal transformation while building it. And then we launch, secretly hoping something dramatic will happen.

But a website isn’t about immediate growth. It’s a foundation. A place where your marketing can land. Where questions get answered — even the unspoken ones.

It gives your perfect matches somewhere solid to land.

You still need to work on how people get in the door. There are so many ways to do that — and part of the journey is experimenting to find what fits your personality and your lifestyle.

But the website? That’s the home they walk into.

And the right people will feel like they’ve finally found itthey found you.

I used to secretly hope a website launch would catapult me into another dimension of business. It never did.

Now it feels different. I’m preparing to launch, fully knowing this is just the foundation for everything that comes next.

No one will pop champagne because of my new digital space — though in a near and far away future, someone will, when they finally feel like they’ve found their designer.

The new How Kind Studio website is almost ready to see the light of day, and I’m excited to share it. But more than that, I’m excited for what comes after.

The quiet building, the steady showing up, the part no one claps for yet — That part matters more than it seems.

Cheers to the parts of you that keep going ♡
